FAQ

Q. Do you shoot film or digital?

A. I only shoot digitally with my Sony A7 III.  This provides for sharper and higher quality images.  It also allows me to shoot more and have more flexibility in the editing process.

Q. Are the images I receive retouched or color corrected?

A. Yes, all the images you will receive include retouching and color correction.  I will also add special filters or effects to enhance an image.

Q.  Do you require a deposit to book a portrait session?

A.  I do not require a deposit prior to booking your portrait session; however the full amount of the session is due on the day of the shoot.

Q. Do you require a deposit to book a wedding?

A.  Yes, I require a $200 non-refundable deposit in order to secure your wedding date.  This deposit will be applied towards your total balance.

Q. Does Sacha Stauffer Photography have a studio location?

A.  No.  I am strictly an on-location photographer, which means that I will come to your home or another location of your choice.  Please note I do not photograph in indoor public spaces.

Q. Do you have a list of outdoor and indoor locations that work well for portraits?

A.  I can provide you with a list of outdoor locations only.  I no longer photograph in indoor public spaces.

Q. When can I expect to receive my gallery after my portrait session?

A.  Your gallery link will be emailed to you no later than 2 weeks from the date of the session.

Q. How many images can I expect to see in my gallery for a portrait session?

Q. How many images can I expect to see in my gallery for wedding photos?

A. As an estimate I tell my couples they can expect around 60 final images per hour.

Q. When can I expect to get my gallery and any purchased albums after my wedding?

A. Your gallery and any purchased wedding albums will be mailed to you no later than 2 months after the date of your wedding.

Q. What should I wear for my portrait session?

A.  I always say simple is the best.  Jeans and solid color tops always look very nice in portraits. Solid colors or clothing with simple designs are recommended over stripes and plaids.  Remember that you want your face and eyes to be the main focus of your portrait.  Choose clothing & accessories to compliment, not dominate, your portraits.  For group portraits, you want to make sure that everyone is wearing the same color tops or colors that complement each other, to make the group more unified.

Q. With the gallery, will I have rights to make prints anywhere I choose and upload them to personal websites such as Facebook?

A.  Yes.  A PDF document that gives you a Non-Exclusive Unlimited print release to make prints at any lab of your choice and share online for personal use only will be attached to your gallery email.  You may not sell, distribute, profit from, enter into contests, alter, or claim the images as your own.

Q.   Do you limit the number of photographs you take during a portrait session or wedding?

A. No.  I do not limit the amount of photographs that I take.  During the editing process is when I choose what photographs you will receive based upon overall quality, exposure, expressions, and uniqueness of the image.

Q. Do you schedule portrait sessions during the week?

A. Yes! I am available 7 days a week between 9am and sunset to schedule portrait sessions.

Q. How long have you been a professional photographer?

A. I have been a professional photographer since 2009 when I started my business.  I graduated with a degree in Photography & Digital Imaging in 2009 and couldn’t wait to get into the industry to start creating a rich & unique portfolio.
